A new survey by Bankrate reveals that one in four homeowners are financially unprepared for severe weather events.

Uh yeah, we just got brand new numbers from bank rates showing one in four of you who own homes. You're financially unprepared for the cost of severe weather events. Those costs include repairs to your home. The cost of having to evacuate in the event of something like *** hurricane or *** wildfire. So what can you do to better prepare? Well, you can start by taking *** hard look at your insurance policy right now to figure out if there are any gaps in your coverage. For example, do you live in *** flood plain, *** flood area where you need flood insurance in terms of weather proofing your home? See if you're eligible for any government assistance programs, especially those managed by your town or county that's free and finally do what you can to start building up your emergency funds, set up *** portion of your paycheck to go directly into your savings.
