Simpson College President Jay Byers is recovering at home after a crash in Des Moines.Byers was involved in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday morning, according to the school.Byers announced in a post on Facebook Friday that he had been discharged from the hospital and is resting comfortably at home."I still have a few injuries to deal with but I’m feeling pretty fortunate overall and glad to be on my way to making a full recovery," Byers said in his Facebook post.Byers thanked people for their support following the crash."Rest assured, I’ll be back online soon when I’ve had time to sufficiently recover," he said in the post.
