IT’S ACTING AGGRESSIVELY. AND WE’RE GETTING SOME NEW VIDEO OUT OF NEVADA COUNTY TONIGHT WHERE CREWS RUSHED IN TO RESCUE A TEEN AND TWO DOGS, ALL STUCK IN A MINESHAFT. YEAH, THIS WAS AROUND SIX LAST NIGHT NEAR LABARR MEADOWS ROAD AND FOUR SEASONS TRAIL. THEY SAY THE TEEN CLIMBED INTO THAT WELL WITH THE DOGS, BUT COULD NOT GET OUT. CREWS NEEDED TO CLIMB DOWN USING THE THREE TO REACH THE THREE USING A ROPE, AND CAREFULLY BRING THEM UP ONE BY ONE. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, EVERYBODY WAS SAFE WITH NO INJURIES. FIRE OFFICIALS SAY IT IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA

A 15-year-old and two dogs were rescued from an abandoned well shaft on Saturday, officials said.Crews from the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District responded to the shaft just before 7 p.m.Officials said the teenager descended into the 15 to 20-foot deep shaft in an attempt to rescue their pets. But instead, they became stuck as well. The fire district said that after about an hour of maneuvering and a vertical rope rescue, the teenager and both dogs were brought to the surface. The teenager had no injuries, officials said. The dogs were treated for minor dehydration and are expected to make a full recovery. "This incident is a reminder of the importance of avoiding unsecured structures and calling for help immediately in emergencies," Fire Chief Jason Robitaille said in a statement.
