Watt joined USAA, Official NFL Salute to Service Partner and Disabled American Veterans to pick a deserving military veteran to send to the big game. Adam Alexander enlisted in the Army Reserves in 2008 while attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 and was struck in the head by sniper fire. Alexander had just a 5% chance of survival. Alexander was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Action Badge and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor. Now, Alexander is a full-time volunteer and father to his 1-year-old daughter. He is part of the Disabled American Veterans chapter in Winnebago County in Wisconsin.Alexander advocates for veterans' issues through engagements at local schools, testifying to the Wisconsin State Legislature to expand financial aid to veterans and hosting a half-hour public access television show, "The Outpost." Alexander's favorite team is the Green Bay Packers. He will bring his father-in-law, a Vietnam-era Army Veteran, to the Super Bowl.
