Uber and Lyft went head-to-head in a Rossen Reports experiment to determine which rideshare service is cheaper and faster.
In the first trip from a hotel in Boca Raton, Florida, to the airport, Uber cost $69.91 compared to Lyft’s $96.99, making Uber nearly $30 cheaper. However, Lyft arrived seven minutes earlier.
On the second trip to a restaurant, Lyft flipped the script, costing $40.99 compared to Uber’s $64.77, saving $24. Lyft also arrived eight minutes faster.
After multiple trips, Lyft totaled $169.97, $8.95 cheaper than Uber’s $178.92. Lyft also won on speed, arriving faster in two out of three trips.
The key takeaway? Don’t stick to one app. Always compare prices between Uber and Lyft to find the best deal for your ride.
