U.S.-Iran Nuclear Deal
President Donald Trump says a deal with Iran's nuclear program could come as soon as Tuesday, following a fifth round of negotiations in Rome. The president hinted at "very good" and serious progress over the weekend, saying a deal could happen within a couple of days.
The potential deal is part of a years-long effort that began with Trump's first term in office when he aimed at limiting Iran's nuclear program and weapons in exchange for lifting sanctions in the Middle East.
Despite Trump's optimism, Oman's mediator suggested even earlier that the U.S. and Iran had reached "some but no conclusive" progress on the deal.
Escalating Russia-Ukraine War
