A Virginia man is in custody with no bond after police say he drove through a crowd of demonstrators.
Culpeper, Virginia, police say it happened Saturday as demonstrators were leaving the area of 801 James Madison Highway.

Officers say the driver, 21-year-old Joseph Checklick Jr., intentionally accelerated his car through the crowd, hitting at least one pedestrian.
At this time, no injuries have been reported.
Checklick is charged with reckless driving. Police say additional charges could be filed in the coming days.
