THROUGH FATIGUE. WEST DES MOINES VALLEY STUDENTS MIGHT BE GETTING A NEW ATHLETICS FACILITY. VOTERS IN THE WEST DES MOINES SCHOOL DISTRICT WILL CONSIDER A $135 MILLION BOND REFERENDUM. COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR BRIAN GALEN TELLS ME. THEY ARE STILL IN THE EARLY STAGES OF FIGURING OUT WHAT THIS MULTI-PURPOSE FACILITY IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE. THE FACILITY WILL BE SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN VALLEY STADIUM AND VALLEY SOUTHWOODS, WHICH IS THE FRESHMAN HIGH SCHOOL. GALEN SAYS IT WILL SERVE A LARGE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN ATHLETICS AND ACTIVITIES.

Voters in the West Des Moines school district will consider a $135 million bond referendum on Nov. 4. Earlier this week, the school board approved moving ahead with the proposal.If approved, it would pay for a new multipurpose student activities facility near Valley Stadium and Valley Southwoods. Bryan Geelan, communications director for the West Des Moines Community Schools, tells vlog's Shannon Ehrhardt they are still in the early stages of figuring out what this multipurpose facility would look like. Geelan says it would serve a large number of students in athletics and activities.The proposal will be on the Nov. 4 ballot.
