ALONG WITH A WEBSITE ACTING AS A DATING PROFILE. AS FOR HOW THE IDEA CAME TO HER.. SHE SAYS IT WAS OUT OF FRUSTRATION WITH USING DATING APPS.### <EVERY TIME I GOT A LITTLE FRUSTRATED WITH THE DATING SCENE WITHIN SILICON VALLEY AND THE BAY AREA I WOULD WORK A LITTLE BIT ON MY WEBSITE. IT STARTED OFF KIND OF ALMOST A JOKE. I CAN DO THIS MYSELF, I CAN DO THIS MYSELF. I CAN DO IT AND THEN I WAS THINKING MAYBE THAT IS NOT A CRAZY OF AN IDEA AFTER ALL AND THE I SAID I HAVE TO PROMOTE THE WEBSITE SOMEHOW AND WHAT IS MORE LOCAL THAN A BILLBOARD?> SINCE THE BILLBOARDS.. HER SITE HAS BEEN BUZZING WITH ATTENTION.. AND SHE'S EVEN GOTTEN A FEW APPLICATIONS FOR POTENTIAL SUITOR

A Salinas native is turning to advertising in her search for love.Lisa Catalano, 42, now a Bay Area, California, resident, is advertising her search for a husband on billboards along Highway 101 from San Francisco to Santa Clara.The billboards promote a website, marrylisa.com, which serves as her dating profile.She said the idea came out of frustration with dating apps and a timeline she set for herself to have kids and get married in the next two to three years.“The dating apps aren’t going well at all. Lisa feels she’s reached the point where a drastic measure is in order — and that would be starting this website. Also, how ‘Silicon Valley’ is it to do a website, right?” reads her website.She graduated from Salinas High School and later from Santa Clara University.
