Woman with autism reunites with therapy pigeon named Geraldine

When Geraldine the therapy pigeon went missing, her owner, a young woman with autism, was heartbroken.
Geraldine's family sent out a call for help, asking anyone to contact them if they saw her. The pigeon had flown off while the family was attending the NRHA Derby in Oklahoma City. Geraldine is trained and normally comes back, but her family believes she may have gotten confused by her surroundings.
Eventually, news that Geraldine had been found reached her owner and the therapy pigeon was successfully reunited with her family.
