'I do owe my life to them': Couple helps save neighbor's life by administering CPR
YEAH, CHRIS FABIAN IS JUST WEEKS AWAY FROM HIS WEDDING. HIS FUTURE IS LOOKING BRIGHT RIGHT NOW. BUT JUST LAST FRIDAY, THINGS COULD HAVE TURNED OUT DIFFERENTLY. HE COULD HAVE DIED. I DO WANT MY LIFE TO THAT. ABSOLUTELY. AND I BELIEVE IT WAS BECAUSE OF CPR THEY GAVE ME. DAYS AGO, FAVORING WAS IN A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION. HE EXPERIENCED CHEST PAINS AFTER AN EXERCISE WORKOUT. HE KNEW HIS NEXT NEIGHBORS WERE HIS BEST HOPE OF GETTING HELP. CHRIS MALLORY IS A FIREFIGHTER AND MEDIC. HIS RACHEL IS A NURSE PRACTITIONER. THEY KNEW WHAT TO DO WHEN AND COLLAPSED ON THEIR FRONT PORCH LAST FRIDAY. IT WAS STILL MY NEIGHBOR AND IT WAS STILL MY FRIEND. AND OF COURSE, I WAS WORRIED. THE COUPLE CALLED 911 AND PERFORMED CHEST COMPRESSIONS FAVOR AND WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. SURVIVED. NOW HE’S THANKFUL THE BATTERIES WERE THERE TO SAVE HIM. I WAS NOT READY TO GO. AND AND I AND I PRAISE THE LORD FOR KEEPING ME AROUND. THE MALLORY’S ARE URGING THE COMMUNITY LEARN CPR. LITERALLY OFF THE STREET CAN DO IT AND DO IT RIGHT. CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. A Pennsylvania man is thanking his neighbors after they helped save his life.Chris Favorin is weeks away from his wedding and the future is looking bright for the 53-year-old from York. But a few days ago, he could have died."I do owe my life to them, absolutely, and I believe it was because of the CPR they gave me," he said.When Favorin experienced chest pains after a workout on Friday, he knew his next-door neighbors were his best hope. Chris Mowry is a firefighter and medic. His wife, Rachel, is a nurse practitioner. They knew what to do when Favorin collapsed on their front porch."It was still my neighbor, and it was still my friend and of course I was worried," Rachel Mowry said.The couple called 911 and performed chest compressions. Favorin was rushed to the hospital.He is thankful the Mowrys were there to save him."I was not ready to go, and I praise the Lord for keeping me around," he said.The Mowrys are urging the community to learn CPR. "Literally anyone off the street can do it and do it right and can make a difference," Chris Mowry said.
