In a new Variety cover story, Barbra Streisand, the legendary director, singer, actress, and mogul revealed that two of her Coton de Tulear dogs, Miss Scarlett and Miss Violet, are clones of her dearly departed dog, Samantha. Apparently the dogs were created using cells from Samantha's mouth and stomach. Her beloved "Sammy," as she called her, passed away last year, and Streisand told the Associated Press it was like "losing a child." “She was always with me; the last 14 years she went everywhere I went. She was at every performance." Barbra told Variety that her cloned dogs have different personalities than Samantha. "I’m waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have her brown eyes and her seriousness.”
