The owner, Joe Tripp, says it's weird seeing his restaurant start back at stage one.

He says his employees have jumped right back into the swing of things, though the repairs took longer than expected because the restaurant has a specific floor design that was destroyed in the crash.

They had to rip up all the flooring and redo it to match their signature print.

Once that was done, it took five weeks to get their new window.

"The car hit the building in the right way, that we could actually put a larger, nicer window, so it worked out nice," Tripp said.

But then, last week's blizzard hit and pushed back when they could actually put the window up. Now, he's just happy to be open.

“We've spent our whole lives feeding the community through our restaurants and through other people's kitchens and charities," Tripp said. "It was nice to see a community come and support us while we were closed.”
