BUT WHAT THE ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS THESE DAYS MANY PEOPLE MAY JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO TRY TO MAKE SOME EXTRA MONEY AND THAT’S WHAT THE CAR WRAPPING SCAM IS ALL ABOUT A VIEWER SENT ME THIS UNSOLICITED TEXT MESSAGE THAT SHE RECEIVED. SHE COULD MAKE $500 A WEEK BY COVERING OR WRAPPING HER VEHICLE WITH AN AD FOR DR. PEPPER ESSENTIALLY RENTING THE VEHICLE TO ADVERTISE THE PRODUCT. WELL, THIS IS A SCAM AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SOFTWARE COMPANY FORTUNATELY. THE VIEWER REALIZED THIS AS SOON AS SHE RESPONDED AND THEY TOLD HER THEY WOULD SEND HER A $500 CHECK FOR ALL THIS SHE IMMEDIATELY WROTE BACK TO THEM AND TOLD THEM TO REMOVE HER INFORMATION. SHE WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. HERE’S THE SCAM HERE. SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD TO DEPOSIT THAT $500 CHECK AND THEN SEND THAT MONEY TO ADD AGENCY TO CREATE THE DECALS OR THE WRAP FOR HER CAR A FEW DAYS LATER HER BANK WOULD TELL HER THAT THAT CHECK HAD BOUNCED AND SHE’S LOST ALL THE MONEY THAT SHE SENT AWAY THIS ONE FALLS IN THE CATEGORY OF IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
