糖心vlog archives: The historic Walter estate designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
Twenty miles east of Waterloo, overlooking the Wapsipinicon River, is the historic estate of Agnes and Lowell Walter at Cedar Rock State Park.
The Walter House is one of 19 signature homes designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
The Walters owned the Iowa Road Building Company, which held the patent for bituminous oil seal coating used on gravel roads.
The Wright signature designation means he designed everything in and around the home. By contract, the Walters were only allowed to bring food, clothes and books into the home.
