A Florida police department has released body cam footage after the July arrest of a Chuck E. Cheese employee who was in full costume when he was taken into custody.The man, dressed in a Chuck E. Cheese mascot costume, was arrested in Tallahassee, Florida, on July 23, 2025, during a busy family event.The incident unfolded in front of children and parents who were enjoying their time at the arcade-style entertainment restaurant.Body cam footage released by the Tallahassee Police Department shows officers arriving to find the mascot preparing to take pictures with customers.Instead of posing for photos, the employee was placed in handcuffs. In July, sister station WESH in Orlando, Florida, reported that Jermell Jones, who was dressed as Chuck E. Cheese, was taken into custody for alleged credit card fraud.WESH reported in July that, according to the Leon County Clerk of Courts, Jones was charged with theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information, and fraudulent use of a credit card on more than two occasions within six months.
