Walmart’s summer savings event is back and it will be happening at the same time as Amazon’s biggest sales event of the year, Prime Day, is taking place. Walmart officials announced Monday that starting July 8, the major retailer will be running its “Walmart Deals” summer sales event for six straight days, ending on July 13. “From tech upgrades to dorm-ready must-haves, school supplies to self-care staples, customers can shop thousands of deals across electronics, home, fashion, toys, beauty and back-to-school essentials — including big names like Samsung, Vizio, Dyson, Sharpie and more,” officials said in a news release Monday. Walmart officials said that for the first time, “Walmart Deals” will be available both in stores and online, which will offer flexibility for customers who are doing an in-store run or taking advantage of curbside pickup or doorstep delivery services. Similar to last year, Walmart+ members will be getting first access to the summer savings event. Members will be able to get exclusive access to the major discounts being offered starting at 7 p.m. EDT on Monday, July 7.
