YEAR. THE HOLIDAY PROMENADE RETURNS TO THE EAST VILLAGE TONIGHT. THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRADITION BEGINS WITH A TREE LIGHTING AND A VISIT FROM MR. AND MRS. CLAUS OF COURSE, AND HOLIDAY MUSIC FROM THE ROOSEVELT MARCHING BAND. SEVERAL SHOPS IN THE EAST VILLAGE WILL BE OPEN EXTENDED HOURS FOR HOLIDAY SHOPPING. OTHER BUSINESSES THROUGHOUT THE METRO ARE TAKING PART IN WHAT’S CALLED PINK FRIDAY. IT’S A DAY FOR CUSTOMERS TO SHOP SMALL BEFORE BIG BLACK FRIDAY PURCHASES FOR LOCAL SHOPS RINGING IN THE HOLIDAY CHEER ALSO MEANS RINGING UP MORE SALES. THE SHOPS ARE HERE ALL YEAR ROUND. THE RESTAURANTS AND THE BUSINESSES, BUT WE WANT TO GIVE PEOPLE SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT SPECIAL. WE CAN’T BE OPEN WITHOUT OUR CUSTOMERS SUPPORTING US, SO WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT WHEN PEOPLE DO COME OUT AND SUPPORT US, AND THAT IS WHAT KEEPS OUR DOORS OPEN. ANY EXCUSE TO SHOP I AM IN THE HOLIDAY PROMENADE WILL RUN FOR FIVE FRIDAYS. THE FINAL NIGHT, DECEMBER 20TH, WILL WILL CLOSE WITH FREE ADMISSION TO BRENTON SKATING PLAZA AN
