A lengthy snake is being blamed for an electrical shortage that started a fire at a Georgia home.
Firefighters were called out to a home in Carroll County in reference to a fire, according to the Carroll County Fire Department. While crews did not find an active fire when they arrived, they did find that a small fire had occurred in the subflooring.
The department said the snake came into the house through a hole in the floor under the oven. That's also where the wires were that the snake shorted out.
The snake was found dead and was removed from the home.
