Group marches 13 miles in honor of 13 US service members killed in Kabul
It has been two weeks since a suicide bombing at Afghanistan’s Kabul airport killed 13 United States service members.A group of veterans and community members in Ohio did a 13-mile ruck march to honor the 13 victims.The march took the group approximately 4.5 hours. They walked back roads and cornfields.The march was organized by Austin Moreton from Sabina, Ohio. Moreton is a veteran who served in the Army for 12 years and was deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. He also received a Purple Heart.About a dozen people participated in Wednesday's march — three veterans from the Army, two from the Air Force, three from the Marines and four civilians.The Sabina Fire Department, Sabina police officers and the Clinton County Sheriff's Office escorted them.
