Hundreds raise money for children's hospital with Wild Bill Tattoo-A-Thon
Hundreds of people went under the needle to support UC Davis Children’s Hospital as part of an annual tradition known as the Wild Bill Tattoo-A-Thon in Roseville, California.
Every year hundreds of people make their way to Wild Bill’s in Roseville to get inked and support the great cause.
“An event like this, unusual as it might be, I think shows the breadth of support for the Children's Hospital and the work that we do,” said Tony Hazarian with UC Davis.
The fundraiser has raised over $230,000 for the UC Davis children’s ward in its 18-year run. The event brings in both tattoo-seekers as well as volunteer artists from all over California.
“I've been kind of putting it off for a long time. When I saw all the money was going to go to the hospital, I jumped on it,” said UC Davis pediatric nurse Katie Huira, who was attending the event for the first time.
The Wild Bill Tattoo-A-Thon is an annual event that takes place the last Saturday in February every year.
