Iowa football vs. Minnesota: How to watch the Hawkeyes play for Floyd of Rosedale
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL. SO POPULAR RIGHT NOW. THERE’S NOT ENOUGH SEATS AT CARVER-HAWKEYE ARENA. SO LET’S PLAY A GAME IN A FOOTBALL STADIUM CROSSOVER AT KINNICK, IOWA, HOSTING DEPAUL FOR A SCRIMMAGE. OUR SHANNON EARHART JOINS US LIVE IN. SHANNON, HOW COOL WAS THIS, JEFF? IT WASN’T JUST COOL. IT WAS ELECTRIFYING. HERE AT KINNICK STADIUM, THEY’RE TAKING APART THE COURT RIGHT NOW. A LOT OF WORK WENT INTO THIS ENTIRE DAY, 55,000 FANS SHOWED UP TODAY. THE PLAYERS HAD SMILES ON THEIR FACES. THE FANS WERE CHEERING, CHANTING, IT WAS SUNNY. YOU COULDN’T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER DAY. THE HAWKEYES CAME OUT FIRING. THEY DID NOT LET UP. LED. 5452 TO 37 AT HALF WHEN CAITLIN CLARK SANK HER FIRST THREE OF THE GAME, SHE IMMEDIATELY TURNED TO THE GROUND, GAVE THAT SIGNATURE. GIVE ME MORE. THE HAWKS NEVER TOOK THEIR FOOT OFF THE GAS AND THE FANS RODE SHOTGUN THE ENTIRE WAY HOME. BOTH TEAMS HAD THE SAME OBSTACLES TO OVERCOME THE WIN. THE SUN THE UNUSUAL DEPTH PERCEPTION THE HAWKEYES MUST HAVE PLAYED A LOT OF DRIVEWAY BASKETBALL GROWING UP BECAUSE THEY DEALT WITH THE CHALLENGES TOO. EMERGE VICTORIOUS. 94 TO 72. IT’S HARD TO TO REALLY WRAP YOUR HEAD AROUND EVERYTHING THAT’S HAPPENING. OBVIOUSLY, YOU CAN IMAGINE IT, BUT IT’S NEVER THE SAME UNTIL YOU’RE ACTUALLY IN THE EXPERIENCE, ENJOYING IT AND LIVING IT. AND, YOU KNOW, OUR TEAM WAS KIND OF GIDDY GETTING READY TO WALK DOWN THE TUNNEL JUST BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, WE UNDERSTAND THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME THING. YEAH, WE ALWAYS IT’S THE SAME COMING DOWN CARVER TUNNEL, BUT THIS IS A DIFFERENT THING WE’VE NEVER EXPERIENCED. AND RUNNING OUT TO 55,000 PEOPLE, WE’VE NEVER RAN OUT TO REALLY MORE THAN I THINK 20,000 AT THE FINAL FOUR. SO MORE THAN DOUBLE THAT. AND JUST A SPECIAL EXPERIENCE. AND THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE JUST SCREAMING FOR US IS JUST IT JUST KIND OF TAKES YOUR BREATH AWAY FOR A MOMENT. I DON’T THINK I COULD HAVE EVER DREAMT THIS. I MEAN, IT’S UNFATHOMABLE, YOU KNOW, AT THAT POINT, TRULY, WE WERE PROBABLY PLAYING IN FRONT OF 55 PEOPLE AT SOME TIMES. BUT, YOU KNOW, BASKETBALL’S BASKETBALL AND I THINK THAT, YOU KNOW, WE TRIED TO PLAY WITH AS MUCH JOY THEN AS WE DO TODAY. IN THE OUTDOOR FOOTBALL
