An Iowa girl will have her wish to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida, granted thanks to the generosity of a heating and plumbing company and Make-A-Wish Iowa.Penelope Pearson, 11, of North Liberty, and her family plan to visit Universal Studios next month, KCRG reports. People gathered at A2Z Heating and Plumbing in town recently to celebrate news of the trip and Penelope being six months post-treatment for B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.“This is gonna be super exciting, "Penelope said. "I’m going on my trip in two weeks. ... It’s gonna be super awesome. I can’t wait... I’ve been waiting for so long to do it and I never knew when it was gonna happen."Penelope was diagnosed with the blood cancer in 2022. A2Z Heating and Plumbing will cover cost of the trip after running a special promotion that raised around $15,000, according to owner Scott Jones.“We donated $100 for every water heater we sold over the last year, which enabled us this year to have enough funds to fund (the) entire wish all by ourselves,” said Jones.Penelope’s mom, Liz, said she is glad to be finally looking ahead after Penelope’s long battle with leukemia."She finally crossed that finish line and finished chemo in March of this year," she said.
