It will be a quick turnaround for the players and the fans going from Albany to Cleveland for Iowa's Final Four matchup against Connecticut. Just hours after the nets at the Elite Eight were stripped from the rim, Hawkeye fans are making their way home from Albany after the Hawkeyes' star-studded epic rematch with LSU."I ran into Ted Lasso and got a picture with him," said Jodi Stedman, of West Des Moines, as she arrived at the Des Moines International Airport. Now, fans are turning their attention to the Final Four, and planning their trips. Tate Felton, of Ankeny, was at the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight and is considering going to the next round. "You root for them through thick and thin, and you never think that you'll make it to the national stage. always pretty good at whatever sport but never to the elite level, so it's kind of surreal," said Felton."You just never know if it's ever going to happen again," said Scott Blaha, from Altoona, in a Zoom interview while he waited for his flight home to board. He was in the 8th row Monday night during the Hawkeyes' game against LSU."Man, it's been 365 days to get to that rematch, and I just can't even explain how awesome it was last night," Blaha said.Blaha was at the Final Four in Dallas last year and said he can't pass up the opportunity to go back and watch Caitlin Clark, Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin one more time."You just never know when you're going to get back here, and it's so hard to get to the final four, you know it could be 20 years from now. Do you really want to wait 20 years to go back to the final four or do you want to go now?" he said.HAWKEYES IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENTRound 1: Hawkeyes run away from Holy CrossMarch Madness: Highlights and photos from Iowa's win over Holy CrossRound of 32: Hawkeyes survive to top West Virginia, 64-54March Madness: Highlights and photos from Iowa-West VirginiaSweet 16: Hawkeyes have no problem with Colorado, set up rematch vs. LSUMarch Madness: Highlights and photos from Iowa-Colorado in the Sweet 16Elite Eight: Clark leads Iowa back to Final Four, scoring 41 points in win over LSUMarch Madness: Highlights and photos from Iowa-LSU in the Elite EightWomen's Final Four ticketsThere are several ways to get tickets to the Final Four games. The NCAA's website lists tickets here.
