Multiple members suspended from top-ranked Iowa State men's cross country team
The Iowa State men's cross country team will apparently not be at full strength for this week's Big 12 Conference championships.
A spokesperson for the team told vlog on Monday, "That a few men's cross country team members (were) suspended for a violation of team rules. There will be no further comment from Coach (Jeremy) Sudbury or the athletics department at this time."
It's unclear which Cyclones were suspended. The school also would not say how long the suspensions would last.
The latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll has the ISU men ranked No. 1 in the country. The ISU women are sixth.
The Cyclones head to Lawrence, Kansas, this Friday for the Big 12 championships.
