THANK YOU VERY MUCH. LET’S SEE HERE. FANS AT AMES ARE PUMPED UP AS THE CYCLONES GET READY TO TAKE ON SOUTH DAKOTA AT HOME TOMORROW. vlog NICOLE TAM IS SHOWING US THE PROGRESS BEING MADE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CY TOWN ACROSS FROM JACK TRICE STADIUM. SINCE GROUNDBREAKING IN APRIL. THIS CONSTRUCTION SITE BEHIND ME IS A BUSY PLACE. THE THREE STORY BUILDING IS EXPECTED TO BE THE MCFARLAND CLINIC, OFFERING A RANGE OF MEDICAL SERVICES ONCE IT OPENS. THAT BUILDING WILL EVENTUALLY LOOK LIKE THIS A 78,000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY WITH SERVICES INCLUDING URGENT CARE, PEDIATRICS, AMONG OTHER HEALTHCARE SPECIALTIES. WE KNOW THAT THERE IS AN ACCESS NEED FOR ADDITIONAL PROVIDERS, THE CARE AND THE SERVICES CONTINUE TO GROW AND EXPAND, AND SO WE HOPE TO MEET THAT NEED BY BEING ABLE TO OFFER MORE SPACE. THE CLINIC IS ONE OF EIGHT BUILDINGS PLANNED FOR CY TOWN. OTHER PROJECTS INCLUDE RESTAURANTS, RETAIL AND OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER, AND EVENTUALLY A HOTEL. IT’S GOING TO BE A TREMENDOUS OPPORTUNITY FOR NOT ONLY IOWA STATE COMMUNITY, BUT AMES AND CENTRAL IOWA TO COME TOGETHER AS WELL AND REALLY USE THE MULTI-PURPOSE DISTRICT FOR WHAT IT WILL BE INTENDED FOR. THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF CONSTRUCTION WERE VISIBLE FRIDAY MORNING AS CREWS WORKED ON THE BUILDING AND SURROUNDING PARKING LOT. WE’RE MAKING REALLY GOOD PROGRESS AND WE’RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT WHAT THIS PROJECT IS GOING TO DO, NOT ONLY FOR IOWA STATE, BUT FOR AMES AND FOR CENTRAL IOWA AS WELL. THE MCFARLAND BUILDING IS EXPECTED TO OPEN BY LATE NEXT YEAR, WITH THE REST OF TOWN SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN 2027. IN AME
