Iowa weather: Drier weather coming after storms

Iowa weather: Drier weather coming after storms
LINED UP, SO THAT’LL BE FUN. SOUNDS LIKE WE ACTUALLY HAVE SOME MAYBE SUNSHINE AND SOME DRY WEATHER LINED UP FOR THE WEEKEND, BUT. AND CAN WE CUT OUT SOME OF THE MUGGINESS? IT IS SO THICK OUTSIDE. YEAH, I WAS LOOKING AT THAT TODAY BECAUSE I WAS LIKE, WHEN IS IT REALLY GOING TO BACK OFF A LITTLE BIT? AND I THINK WE’VE GOT TO WAIT TO NOTICE A BIG DIFFERENCE UNTIL EARLY NEXT WEEK. UNFORTUNATELY, TOMORROW, A LITTLE DIP IN THE HUMIDITY. WE’RE TALKING DEW POINTS PROBABLY IN THE MID 60S OR SO, WHICH WILL BE A CHANGE FROM THE 70 PLUS DEW POINTS THAT WE’VE HAD THIS WEEK. BUT IT’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’RE STILL SITTING IN THE 70S. IT’S STILL GOING TO BE A MUGGY EVENING AND OVERNIGHT AGAIN, A LITTLE BREAK IN THE HUMIDITY TOMORROW, BUT I THINK YOU’RE STILL GOING TO NOTICE SOME OF THAT STICKINESS OUT THERE TEMPERATURE WISE. WE’LL END UP IN THE LOW TO MID 80S BY THE AFTERNOON. SO SLIGHTLY COOLER AS WE GO THROUGH THE LUNCH HOUR, MID OR UPPER 70S AND THEN CLOSE TO 80 THERE FOR THE EARLY AFTERNOON. BUT MORE SUNSHINE, MAYBE A FEW CLOUDS IN THE MORNING IF YOU’RE AN EARLY RISER. BUT THEN I THINK BY THE AFTERNOON WE’LL TAKE THINGS BACK TO A MOSTLY SUNNY SKY. HERE’S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. THOSE SHOWERS AND STORMS EXIT THE STATE BY EARLY TOMORROW MORNING, AND THEN WE’RE BACK TO A FEW CLOUDS TO BEGIN THE DAY. THEN WE SHOULD TURN TO ALL SUNSHINE THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY EVENING SHOULD BE A DRY AND CLEAR NIGHT FOR YOUR FRIDAY NIGHT PLANS. THE ONLY RAIN THAT WE COULD SEE, MAYBE EARLY SATURDAY MORNING, COULD BE INTO FAR NORTHWEST IOWA. IF THAT CLUSTER OF STORMS HOLDS TOGETHER. OTHERWISE, WE’RE GOING TO STAY DRY AS WE HEAD INTO THE FIRST PART OF YOUR WEEKEND. SO TOMORROW’S FORECAST. WE START OFF PROBABLY IN THE UPPER 60S. SO STILL A WARM, SOMEWHAT MUGGY START TO THE DAY. THEN BY THE AFTERNOON WE’LL CLIMB INTO THE LOW 80S HERE. BY DINNERTIME OR SO. TOMORROW, MORE SUNSHINE WORKING ITS WAY THROUGH TOWARDS THE SECOND HALF OF THE DAY. TOMORROW. HIGH TEMPERATURES WITH THE CLOUDS IN PLACE SHOULD KEEP IT A LITTLE BIT COOLER THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. BUT IF YOU’RE INTO WESTERN IOWA, IT’S GOING TO HEAT BACK UP CLOSE TO 90, OUT TOWARDS COUNCIL BLUFFS AND THEN MID 80S FOR CARROLL AND CRESTON. TOMORROW AFTERNOON. EIGHT DAY FORECAST KEEPS US NEAR 90 ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. MORE STORM CHANCES ARE BACK IN THE FORECAST THERE FOR SUNDAY JUST FOR THE END OF THE WEEKEND. AND THEN WE’RE DRYING OUT MONDAY, TEMPERATURES A
