ONLINE. TIME NOW IS 747. CHECKING IN WITH DAVID AGAIN. AND DAVID. IT IS GOING TO BE A CHILLY ONE TODAY. DESPITE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE OUTSIDE BEHIND US HERE. YEAH, WE’VE SEEN A BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE, A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING START TO THE DAY, BUT IT IS DEFINITELY A COLD ONE. OUR COLDEST SINCE EARLY MARCH. MARCH 6TH HERE IN DES MOINES, TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE TEENS AND 20S OUT THERE WITH WIND CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS, AND IT’S GOING TO STAY FRIGID HERE FOR MOST OF YOUR SUNDAY. DESPITE THAT SUNSHINE, THE WIND CHILLS REMAIN IN THE TEENS AND 20S PRETTY MUCH ALL DAY LONG, AND WE’RE STILL LOOKING FAIRLY COLD. TOMORROW WE’RE GOING TO ADD A COUPLE OF DEGREES TO WHAT WE GET THIS AFTERNOON, BUT WE’RE STILL LOOKING AT HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 30S FOR YOUR MONDAY. BUT LATER IN THE WEEK WE GET BACK INTO THE 50S AND 60S, AND IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE RIGHT NOW WITH HOW COLD IT IS, BUT WE COULD BE NEAR 70 BY THE END OF THE WEEK. SO A LITTLE BIT OF GOOD NEWS THERE TO LOOK FORWARD TO THAT WARMING TREND REALLY KICKING IN FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE WEEK. AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE. MILD AIR WILL STICK AROUND AT LEAST A PARTS OF NEXT WEEK THROUGH THE 19TH. WE’RE LOOKING AT GOOD CHANCES FOR ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES. JUST GOT TO KEEP IN MIND THEY’RE AVERAGE RIGHT NOW IS CLOSE TO 50 DEGREES, SO ANYTHING ABOVE 50 WOULD COUNT AS ABOVE AVERAGE. BUT WE WILL CERTAINLY TAKE THAT OVER THE SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILLS THAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. SKIES OVERNIGHT DID CLEAR OUT AS THE SNOW AND RAIN MOVED OUT OF THE STATE. STILL HAVE SOME CLOUDS ACROSS FAR EASTERN IOWA, WESTERN IOWA DEALING WITH SOME CLOUDS AS WELL. THE SNOW SHOWERS MOSTLY OFF TO THE EAST, BUT MAYBE A COUPLE OF FLURRIES THERE IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE STATE, THERE ARE MORE CLOUDS AS YOU GET UP INTO MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN, AND THROUGHOUT THE DAY THOSE CLOUDS WILL BE DROPPING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH. SO WE WILL SEE CLOUDS FILL BACK IN THIS AFTERNOON AND COULD BRING MAYBE SOME ADDITIONAL SPOTTY FLURRIES. BUT FOR THE MOMENT THOUGH, WE HAVE PLENTY OF SUNSHINE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. LOOK AT THAT SUN SHINING IN INDIANOLA. BEAUTIFUL BLUE SKY RIGHT NOW, BUT MORE OF A WINTRY SCENE IN ALGONA THIS MORNING. STILL HAVE SNOW ON THE GROUND IN THE TREES. THANKFULLY THE ROADS LOOK TO BE A-OKAY, SO DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANY SLICK SPOTS OUT THERE. AND STILL A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW IN THE GRASS HERE AT SEVEN OAKS NEAR BOONE. NOT ENOUGH TO GO SKIING ON. AT LEAST NOT YET. WE’LL HAVE TO WAIT A LITTLE BIT LONGER FOR THAT. SOME SNOW HERE IN BETWEEN THE HIGHWAY. US 20 NEAR FORT DODGE. WE’LL DO A LITTLE BIT OF MELTING WITH THAT SUNSHINE HERE THIS MORNING, BUT NOT A LOT AS TEMPERATURES ARE DEFINITELY COLD. 21 RIGHT NOW, BUT THE WIND CHILL IS SEVEN THANKS TO THAT NORTHWEST WIND, TEENS AND 20S HERE ACROSS THE STATE. 15 IN SPENCER TO 27 IN CENTERVILLE. BUT EVEN IN CENTERVILLE FEELS LIKE 14 RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF THAT. NORTH WIND SEVEN IN AMES FEELS LIKE SEVEN HERE IN DES MOINES. THE NORTH WINDS GUSTING TO NEARLY 30 MILES AN HOUR. AND IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS TODAY, BE PREPARED FOR THOSE WINDS TO STICK AROUND. THEY DON’T REALLY BACK OFF UNTIL WE GET CLOSER TO SUNSET. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS WE’VE GOT THE SUNSHINE RIGHT NOW. WE’LL SEE THE CLOUDS AFTER ABOUT 1 OR 2:00 THIS AFTERNOON, AND THEY COULD BRING A FLURRY OR TWO TO THE EASTERN HALF OF THE STATE, BUT SHOULDN’T HAVE ANY MAJOR IMPACTS AS FAR AS THAT SNOW GOES TOMORROW, 38. SO A LITTLE BIT WARMER THAN TODAY. BUT HERE’S THE WARM-UP 57 ON TUESDAY. UP TO 61 BY THURSDAY A
