						The winner of Iowa's Best Breaded Tenderloin Contest is Cliff's Place in Manning. The 90-minute drive from Des Moines to Manning is worth it for the $6 sandwiches, officials from the Iowa Pork Producers Association said in a news release. “Thick and juicy or thin and crispy — people travel crazy distances to sink their teeth into different versions of this Midwest staple,” says Kelsey Sutter, IPPA’s marketing and programs director. “Tenderloins connect people from all over the world, and it just takes one bite to understand why they’re such a hit!”Cliff's Place beat out nearly 800 other restaurants that were nominated in the contest.They keep it simple at Cliff's Place, co-owner Jim Waterbury said. “We don’t glorify anything on it,” Waterbury said.
