He looks talks. Come on, move out. He is *** Texan. Well, I'm *** long tall t. Rayford Ely is from Texas where everything is bigger, but Ray is no longer living in Texas. He's in California, where bigger is not necessarily better. I think it's the only herd that's all under 30 inches. I don't know of any other herd. It's satisfactory group of horses for me. Rayford has reason to brag this is the biggest little herd of horses around. It may also be the most expensive. Each is worth at least $50,000. Yes girl, you're ready to go, huh. Come, go to war. Come on. 83 year old Rayford Ely is master over all his surveys. Granted, it's not the King Ranch, but his backyard. Come on, let's go. The city of Oakland made an exception to allow Rayford to raise the miniature horses. The councilmen simply declared them *** city treasure. They eat the same they smell the same they look the same, but are they the same? Let's go. Well, people that that want *** horse and just don't have the room or they desire to handle *** big horse can take one of these little ones and they can't hurt you. Aren't you kind of ashamed the fact that you're such *** little runt, huh. Miniature horses are high in demand, bringing *** higher price, but money can't buy love. Unless you and I go for *** walk. That's this little horse that you're photographing how there isn't any price on it. Money wouldn't buy him. Why? Because I don't want, I've got enough money, but I don't have enough of him. Rayford hopes Playboy will take after his dad, 4-time world champ Arabian King, with your daddy's from England. Your mama's from Virginia. Miniatures were especially bred for the French aristocracy in the late 16th century. Some wound up in the circus. Now most are in the hands of collectors like Rayford Ely. Well, come on, playboy. We're going back now. Pete points is out and about in Oakland for Channel 3 reports.

In 1986, former Texan Rayford Ely brought the spirit of Texas to California with a herd of adorable miniature horses.“They eat the same, smell the same, and look the same,” Ely said. But unlike regular horses, they didn’t just stay in a barn. Ely let his pint-sized ponies roam around his house and even took them on walks through the neighborhood. However, their cuteness came at a cost. Each of Ely’s seven tiny horses was worth a whopping $50,000, equivalent to about $150,000 today.Watch the video to see why the city of Oakland declared these unique horses a city treasure! If you want more cute animals, check out these other videos from our archive:
