Over 426 days and counting: Bruce Wayne sets Chipotle record
Despite his lack of batarangs and nifty utility belt, an Ohio man named Bruce Wayne (yes, seriously) is going in the record books.
Wayne has been honored by Chipotle after spending at least 426 days grabbing some food from the fast casual restaurant chain. The company gave Wayne a custom-made cape and cuff-links as a nod to his love of both burritos and his favorite superhero, Batman. Chipotle will also reinvest his dollars spent over the course of his journey in a monetary donation to a nonprofit of his choice.
“Day after day we’re committed to serving our customers the most delicious, real ingredients we can find and it’s great to see a customer like Bruce is as committed to us as we are to him,” said Chris Arnold, communications director at Chipotle.
Wayne says he started his adventure on Oct. 30, 2016 after learning about a fellow Chipotle lover who ate at the restaurant for 425 days to maintain his fitness goals.
“While this might not be everybody’s New Year’s Resolution for 2018, it certainly shows that our menu of real and fresh ingredients offers something for everyone – even superheroes," Arnold said.
Wayne shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. His page is full of his Chipotle exploits. While he may not have a batmobile, Bruce Wayne is the hero Chipotle deserves.
