RAGBRAI archives: Wild headgear and a wedding to remember on 1992 bicycle ride across Iowa
When the thousands of riders hit the road each day. There's one thing they're assured of just about everywhere along the route. Someone will be there to cheer them on. Where are you guys from Lawrence Birkholtz, invited his friends over to watch the parade of bikers. I think it's *** wonderful thing. All these friendly people come by and see our state towns along the route go all out to offer *** place to rest as they try to entice bikers with home cooked food and refreshing drink. It's also here at these stops. You'll find great people watching and unusual headgear, *** tradition of your teams on rag Bra so that we can find each other in this crowd of 10,000 people so that you stand out and you invite conversation. Everyone seems to have their own traditions on Rag Bra. Yeah, I get off my bike as soon as possible. Every time that I can lash town before the end, we always stop for *** beer and *** brat. We always have ice cream in the evening before we go to bed. We like to check off the libraries and you know, the public buildings and all the small towns. We like the squares because of rag bra. I have become *** pancake freak. Meeting people in the Iowa hospitality is another big tradition. We couples get very friendly. In fact, Bobby Wilson and Jim Nagle of Cedar Rapids met while biking and today tied the knot during their stop in Knoxville, I announce to you they are husband and wife in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Mhm.
