Here's your first look at the lead actor in costume

Rami Malek's resemblance to Freddie Mercury is eerily uncanny in the first photo from the upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. In the still, shared by Entertainment Weekly, the Mr. Robot star poses as the music icon in his signature mustache, slicked-back hair, white tank top, jeans, and studded accessories. The result is unreal:The resemblance even took Malek aback. "When you're able to open your eyes and see a different person staring back at you in the mirror, it’s a very affirming moment," the actor told EW of his first time in hair and makeup.Though he might have the looks down, the vocals are a different story. (Let's be honest, can anyone accurately emulate Mercury's four-octave range?) Thus, the film will use Mercury's real vocals or Malek's voice for parts that include singing; and the actor is taking his training seriously. "I’m in Abbey Road right now if that should say anything to you. I’m not working on my acting," he added. The biopic, which was named after one of Queen's biggest songs, follows the group from its inception in 1970 to their 1985 Live Aid performance, six years after Mercury's death. "It’s a celebration," director Bryan Singer (helmer of the X-Men franchise) said of the project. Bohemian Rhapsody premieres on December 25, 2018.
