Rossen Reports: Do 'vaccine passports' track your location?
Hi. Yes. So many of you are divided about this. Our vaccine passports. The safe way to get back to normal. You want to go to a concert prove you're safe to everyone else there? Or is it an invasion of your privacy? It's not the government's business. If I got a vaccine or not. And are they tracking my location? Either way, you need to know how this works because it may be coming to your town. So I'm about to show you the vaccine passport. Think of it like a real passport. You want to go somewhere. You need a passport to prove who you are and that you're allowed to go and now proof that your covid free. It's causing a major controversy. The federal government saying it won't be putting out a national vaccine passport and some states like florida, texas and Idaho. Going even further saying vaccine passports won't be required there either. Some governors say they infringe on personal freedom and privacy. It's completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you. The requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society. But right now, most states could allow it. So several tech companies are developing apps, including one you'd use for air travel. So how do they work? Vaccine passports live on your phone? New york is the first state to roll it out. It's called the Excelsior Pass. I want to go to a Brooklyn nets game at Barclay Center or a rangers game at Madison Square Garden. They want you vaccinated or at least the test negative for Covid. Show them your personal QR code to prove it and you're in. Okay? So how do you get it? It's going to be right here in the app store now. I'm using an iphone because that's what I use. But this goes for the android as well. If your state launches one of these vaccine passport sites, it's going to be in the app store on both the iphone and the android. So we're going to go into the app store here on my iphone. We're demonstrating with new york since they're the ones to do it first. Here. There it is. Excelsior pass. I'm going to click on that here. That is going to open it up and there it is. You have no passes, get my past. So I'm going to do that. Let's get started. It's going to ask me for some personal information, basics. It's asking for my name, Jeffrey. Yes, I'm a Jeffrey. You know Rawson, My Birthdate November 13 1976. And my zip code putting that in now. It's going to ask me to verify my identity. It's going to ask me a bunch of questions. When did you get the last dose of the vaccine? It's going to give you a bunch of choices. I got mine on sunday March 21st. And what county were you vaccinated? Going to click on the county? What type of vaccination did you receive Pfizer? I'm going to verify identity. And right now in that quick amount of time, instantaneously the app is comparing my answers to state health department records, making sure they match up. If they don't match up, it will say no you don't qualify. Try again. In my case I told the truth it matched up and boom, there is my past. So if I go anywhere and I want to get in to a sporting event to an arena anywhere and they require me to be vaccinated or have a negative covid test. Boom, they'll scan this and I'm in the makers of the Excelsior past, say it doesn't track your location or store anything else about your health records. It just stores your first name, last name and birthday. And if you're safe to enter. Yeah. Now remember, even if the state, even if the government doesn't require it, private businesses and venues may, so I'm putting all of this information on my website right now for you to go through rossen Reports dot com back to you.
