Sacramento's oldest living resident is celebrating in a big way on Wednesday.
Friends and family surrounded Barbara Robinson as she turned 111 years old.
They threw her a party with live music, dancing, cake and champagne.
"How old are you?" she was asked.
"Do you really want to know?" she asked back.
Barbara has lived more than a lifetime, born when ragtime music filled the air and Model T Fords started replacing horse and buggies.
President Woodrow Wilson would lead the country as the world was on the brink of World War I.
"Well, let's see, one, one, one. What is that — 111," Barbara said with a smile.
Born in 1914, she lived through both world wars and the Great Depression, and watched the rise of the internet. Barbara has seen it all.
"She's seen so much, and nothing, and nothing, none of that has disturbed her or moved her," said Robert Holman, Barbara's son.
"Let's give her three cheers! Hip, hip hooray!" said the crowd.
Barbara said there's no secret to staying young.
"Some of these things that people do and they enjoy doing, it's destroying their life. But number one, I didn't do any of those," she said. "Number two, I was in the service of the Lord, most of the time."
Barbara has a number of grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren, as well as church family to help her mark another year in the centenarian club.
To enter that club, she said, "Keep a clean life. Keep your life clean."
Holman follows her faith and the fountain of youth, and could be a member of his mother's club one day.
"I'm 83, and I have a good shot," Holman said, with a laugh.
"I know my time is coming soon, and I just want to be ready when the Lord calls me," Barbara said.
She said she never drank a drop of alcohol and also eats healthy and clean.
She outlived both her husbands and was married a total of 78 years.
Cheers to many more and happy birthday, Barbara!
