'Trapped in a tornado': Woman hides inside her work van during Florida tornado
IT HAS BEEN A BUSY AND INCREDIBLY BUSY TWO DAYS FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY YESTERDAY’S EF TWO TORNADO IN SEMINOLE COUNTY. I’M STEWART MOORE AND I’M SUMMER KNOWLES. WE BEGIN WITH MORE HOME VIDEO TAKEN BY A WOMAN IN THE MIDDLE OF YESTERDAY’S TORNADO. WESH TWO SPENCER TRACY SPOKE WITH THE WOMAN WHO SURVIVED THE TORNADO INSIDE OF A WORK VAN. FROM DARK SKIES TO 100 MILE AN HOUR WINDS, ONE WOMAN TELLS ME SHE DIDN’T THINK SHE WAS GOING TO MAKE IT OUT ALIVE. I AMY LU I AM A TERRIFYING TORNADO CAUGHT ON CAMERA. JOHNNY MARR RANGEL IS BEHIND THE WHEEL. JACKIE. SHE WAS TRAPPED INSIDE HER WORK VAN. SHE TAKES COVER AND MOVES OVER TO HER PASSENGER SIDE AS HER VAN SHAKES SIDE TO SIDE. A COMMENCÉ A VER EL VIENTO. BUENO A ESCUCHAR EL VIENTO. I BEGAN TO HEAR THE WIND VERY STRONG. I WAS INSIDE THE TRUCK UNTIL THE MOMENT I DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING. SHE SAYS SHE IS LUCKY TO BE ALIVE AND DIDN’T KNOW IF SHE WAS GOING TO MAKE IT. PONGO A LOADER. OBVIAMENTE ANTES DE BAJAR ME. I STARTED TO CRY BEFORE I GOT OUT BECAUSE WHAT YOU SEE IN THE VIDEO DOESN’T REALLY EXPLAIN WHAT I FELT AND WHAT I SAW, SHE SAYS. THIS IS SOMETHING SHE HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE. THIS WAS QUITE THE TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE FOR HER AS SHE JUST MOVED HERE RECENTLY FROM VENEZUELA AND HAS NEVER EXPERIENCED A TORNADO BEFORE. I’M COVERING SEMINOLE COUNT

Jeanicmar Rangel captured the terrifying moments from her car as an EF2 tornado struck in Longwood, Florida.In the video, Rangel cries out in fear as the tornado sends debris toward her vehicle, along with strong winds and heavy rain. She yells in the video, "¡Ay, Dios mio!" as over 100-mile-per-hour winds rock her van side to side. She tells sister station WESH that she was afraid she wasn't going to make it and feels lucky to be alive. "I began to hear the wind, and I was trapped inside the truck, and then I couldn't see anything out of the window," said Rangel.She said she took cover and moved over to her passenger side."I started to cry before I get out of the van because what you see in the video doesn't really explain what I felt and what I saw," she said.Rangel said she just moved to Florida from Venezuela a couple years ago and has never experienced a tornado before. "When I begin to see all the disaster in the area, the only thing I said is I can't believe I'm alive," she said.
