Triplets graduate from Texas Tech — the same school where their grandparents met
Three siblings, Cate, Ava, and Truman Crawford, celebrated their graduation from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, on May 16, 2025.
The triplets, originally from Round Rock, have a deep connection to the university, as their grandparents met there.
Ava Crawford recalled their first visit to Lubbock in 2012, telling , "I think the first stop we hit was Red Raider Outfitters, and I think he cleared out the entire store for us and our cousins."
She added that the experience left a lasting impression on them.
The triplets began their studies at Texas Tech in 2021, and they are now graduating from the College of Media and Communication.
Truman earned a degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communication Management, Ava in Creative Media Industries, and Cate in Digital Media and Professional Communication.
Truman reflected on their shared experiences, telling KCBD, "We've kind of gone through everything together in life ... So, to just have another monumental step in our life that we've all been able to do together is really valuable."
Truman, who graduated six months ago, currently works for the Texas Senate under Sen. Brian Birdwell on the Border Security Committee.
Cate has interned with the Texas Workforce Commission and will now serve as a campaign coordinator for the same organization's Office of Media and Communications.
Ava plans to head back to Austin and wants to pursue a career in content creation.
As they embark on new journeys, the triplets expressed gratitude for their time in Lubbock.
Cate said, "We're just really excited, and we're gonna miss Texas Tech, but I think it's a good thing we'll miss it because that means it's meant so much to us over the last four years."
