ALL RIGHT. SOUNDS GOOD. THANKS, EMILY. A SCARY SCENE TODAY IN TOPSHAM SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE HURT AFTER A CRASH AT A MONSTER TRUCK SHOW. THE SHOW PUT ON BY RENEGADE MONSTER TRUCK TOUR, WAS AT THE TOP. SOME FAIRGROUNDS. AS YOU CAN SEE, ONE OF THE TRUCKS WENT OVER A JUMP AND HIT A UTILITY WIRE THAT WAS ACROSS THE TRACK, PULLING DOWN SEVERAL UTILITY POLES. A VERY SCARY SCENE. OFFICIALS SAY TWO PEOPLE WERE SENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE WERE TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES. WE SPOKE TO A MAN WHO WAS STANDING BY THE TRACK WITH HIS SON AND WAS THANKFULLY ABLE TO GET HIS SON OUT OF THE WAY WHEN POWER LINES CAME DOWN, EVERYTHING HAPPENED SO FAST, YOU KNOW, THE TRANSFORMER CAME DOWN LITERALLY WITHIN FEET OF US, YOU KNOW, QUICKLY PICKED HIM UP, GRABBED HIM, UH, WALKED OUT OF THE WAY. A lobster-themed monster truck performing for spectators in Maine clipped an aerial power line, toppling several utility poles and sending two people to hospitals, police said. Mike Hersom said he was standing by the track with his son when the incident happened. "Everything happened so fast. The transformer came down literally within feet of us. I quickly picked [my son] up, grabbed him, walked out of the way, but it all happened so fast," Hersom told sister station WMTW.

Two people were transported to hospitals and others suffered minor injuries, Topsham police reported. The driver of the truck was not injured.
