IT IS NOT. THAT’S RIGHT. YOU KNOW, RIGHT NOW I WAS STANDING ON THE BEACH. BUT IF YOU LOOK DOWN, YOU CAN SEE I AM NOW STANDING IN WATER. THIS IS WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING ALL DAY TODAY. YOU KNOW, LIFEGUARDS ARE PATROLLING ALL TEN MILES OF THE BEACH. IT’S DIFFERENT DEPENDING WHERE YOU ARE, BUT MOST OF IT YOU CAN SEE THE WATER IS COMING UP ON THE SHORE. AND THIS WILL CONTINUE FOR MOST OF THE DAY. RIGHT NOW, JUST CRAZINESS. I MEAN, THIS IS JUST NATURE. IT’S AWESOME. ALL EYES ARE ON THE ATLANTIC IN OCEAN CITY. THURSDAY. PEOPLE WATCHING THE WAVES CRASH DOWN IN THE DISTANCE. IT’S PRETTY ROUGH OUT THERE. JUST NORTH AT THE INDIAN RIVER INLET, THE COAST GUARD CAN BE SEEN NAVIGATING THE ROUGH WATER WHILE IN OCEAN CITY, STRONG WINDS ARE WHIPPING IT ONTO SHORE, CAUSING SOME BEACH EROSION. THE OCEAN IS CLOSED OFF DUE TO DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND HIGH SURF. THERE’S NO WAY, NO REASON, THAT YOU WANT TO GO OUT INTO THE BEACH, ONTO THE INTO THE WATER. IT’S JUST NOT SAFE. WE DO HAVE OUR LIFEGUARDS ON PATROL OUT THERE ON THE QUADS, BUT, YOU KNOW, DON’T PUT THEM IN HARM’S WAY EITHER. SOME FOLKS CHOOSING TO DISREGARD SAFETY MEASURES, CAUSING A DANGEROUS SITUATION BY WALKING OUT TOO FAR. EVEN THOUGH WE PASSED HIGH TIDE WITH THE STORM SURGE, THE WATER IS STILL COMING UP FARTHER. MOST PEOPLE, THOUGH, ARE ENJOYING THE VIEW FROM A SAFE DISTANCE. STROLLING THE BOARDWALK AND NOT LETTING THE HURRICANE IMPACT THEIR VACATION. SO WE FOUND GOOD PLACES TO EAT. AND SO WE’RE WE’RE JUST HAVING A GREAT TIME. YOU JUST GOT TO MAKE THE BEST OF THE SITUATION. WHILE BAYSIDE AREAS THAT TYPICALLY FLOOD ARE PONDING DOWNTOWN AS THE CITY CONTINUES TO MONITOR THE SURGES. I’M THANKFUL IT’S NOT HITTING. YOU KNOW ANY WORSE THAT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? THAT IT KEPT OUT TO SEA AND AND THIS IS JUST COOL TO WATCH. PRECAUTIONS WILL REMAIN IN PLACE. YOU KNOW, I SPOKE WITH BEACH PATROL AND THE MAYOR. THEY BOTH REITERATED THIS MESSAGE TO ME THAT TOMORROW, THE SUN MAY COME OUT AS THE STORM PASSES, BUT THE RIP CURRENTS COULD REMAIN TOMORROW AND INTO THE WEEKEND. SO IT IS SO IMPORTANT IF YOU DO WANT TO GET INTO THE WATER TO TALK TO A LIFEGUARD, MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE BEFORE YOU GET IN. FOR NOW, LI
