Women's basketball top 25: Iowa drops out of top 5 for first time all season
The Iowa women's basketball team has been ranked as high as No. 2 this year, but the Hawkeyes have slowly fallen from the top in recent weeks.
Iowa (24-4, 13-3 in Big Ten play) split a pair of games last week including an 86-69 loss at No. 14 Indiana. A resounding win over Illinois on Sunday helped get the Hawkeyes back on the right track, but the loss did hurt them in this week's AP Top 25 poll.

Iowa fell to No. 6 in the poll released Monday morning.
The Hawkeyes had been ranked in the top five every week of the season, starting with a No. 3 ranking in the preseason poll in October.
Iowa has two more regular season games before the Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament get underway. The Hawkeyes head to the Twin Cities to play at Minnesota on Wednesday before a Senior Night matchup with No. 2 Ohio State next Sunday.
