Suzanne Behnke is a longtime Iowa journalist and is thrilled to continue her career at ����vlog.

Before joining ����vlog, Suzanne worked at the Waterloo Cedar-Falls Courier as a police reporter, Des Moines Register as an editor in multiple news departments, the Business Record as editor, the Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism as executive director, and Investigate Midwest as the digital editor. Suzanne is passionate about reporting on what local government is doing and how it affects Central Iowans and teaching the next generation of journalists, occasionally serving as an adjunct instructor at Simpson College in Indianola. She is a graduate of Wartburg College for her undergrad degree and Drake University for her master’s in public administration.

Suzanne loves her faith, family (husband Jon, son Jaymes and wonder dog Bentley), friends and being part of the community of Central Iowa as a former board member and current volunteer for the Urbandale Food Pantry, the board secretary of Endow Urbandale, a kickboxing and strength training instructor at Farrell’s Urbandale, and a member of Lutheran Church of Hope.
