A LOT OF PARKING HAS ALSO BEEN MOVED AROUND THE SITE TOWN DEVELOPMENT PROMISES TO BRING SHOPS AND OTHER ENTERTAINMENT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS. College football fans hoping to attend season-opening games Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames or Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City will find two worthy foes: opposing football teams and extreme heat.Athletic departments at both schools released information to help fans beat the heat Saturday, when temperatures are expected to reach the high 90s for much of Iowa.Iowa State encourages fans to "stay hydrated and moderate alcohol consumption" and says fans may bring one 20-ounce unopened or empty bottle of water into Jack Trice Stadium. The ground floor of the Jacobson Building on the north end of the stadium will be air-conditioned and open to the public, per a release.A release from the University of Iowa says concession stands will sell bottled water at a reduced price, and fans can bring in multiple sealed bottles of water of any size.
