NOBODY WAS HURT, BUT FIREFIGHTERS SAY THE FIRE WAS DIFFICULT TO PUT OUT BECAUSE OF THE EQUIPMENT OIL PROVIDED A FUEL SOURCE AND THE HIGH HEAT OUTSIDE. vlog IS PEPPER. A fire at the Iowa State University campus power plant has disrupted classes and activities Thursday in Ames. In a news release posted around 1:20 p.m. Thursday, officials said no injuries have been reported but the fire caused issues with the cooling system on campus.
